It is recommended to start with minimal doses of Zanaflex, as side effects occurrence directly depends on the daily dose of Zanaflex drug. When starting the treatment with a minimum daily dose of Zanaflex 2mg or Zanaflex 4mg and watching for body reactions, the development and intensity of side effects can be controlled independently.

By increasing the dose size Zanaflex, one can prevent side effects and overdose Zanaflex little by little, as well as adjust the optimal daily dose of Zanaflex, which can be even lower than a standard one.

After the long-term usage of medication Zanaflex (especially in large doses), one should reject using the drug gradually. A sharp refusal of Zanaflex pills may cause the muscle weakness. The occurrence of muscle weakness is typical for all the neuromuscular blocking agents. But in comparison with Baclofen and Diazepam, the development of muscle weakness because of Zanaflex use, is much less common.
